The Managing Committee of the Guild has decided to modify the Guild's Charter. Juridical persons, as well as natural persons, can now apply for membership in the Guild.
The integration of independent producers and movie-making companies within a single organization is an unprecedented step unequalled elsewhere in the world.
This decision was necessitated by time itself. Because of a significant increase in the scope of movie and show production, a lot of spontaneously operating manufacturing organizations have emerged in Russia, which can lead to unpredictability in movie market development.
Producers Guild of Russia is certain that even in its early stages of development, market forming has to be based on worldwide experience in film-making industry, and the movie market itself should develop in a civilized environment.
